Who We are?
The SVPMProfessionals_Job_Search_Group (Silicon Valley Program/Project/Product Managers, Systems Analysts, IT and Business Professionals Group or Job Search Group) addresses the needs of the members in transition or anticipate change in their employment. The Job Search Group is run by volunteers and is sponsored by PMIMBAY, IEEE, SJCCCS and private individuals. The primary goal is to address the members' need for a rapid and effective transition to their desired jobs.
The Job Search Group focuses on matching members with prospective employers by:
a) Providing skills and tools necessary for the PMs and other professionals to effectively present their skills and experiences
b) Provide PMs and other professionals with the opportunities to learn more about the prospective employer’s needs and challenges
c) Provide a forum for sharing successful job search experiences
d) Help the members create their career management plan
The services provided include self-assessment and discovering own strengths, value to employers, prepare resume for "A, B & C" jobs.

In addition, coaching and workshops lead by professionals are provided to develop a personalized Job Search Campaign that is bullet proof in getting to the jobs most desirable. Most of these services are free of charge to the members of PMI, IEEE and sponsoring organizations. Professionals are available to mentor, coach and guide individuals in a professional environment. There are weekly Breakfast and networking meetings to better understand job markets and options. There are special sessions to develop specific skills and keeping up with the career while in transition.
